Privacy policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026 · Applies to the Trip Sniper Chrome extension and tripsniper web pages.
What we collect
- Your email address — only so we can send you the alerts you asked for.
- Your trip watches — the routes, date windows, and budgets you describe.
- Price history for your watches — what our checks found, so alerts can compare against it.
What we don't do
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their marketing.
- No ad trackers or analytics beyond basic, aggregate page counts — with one disclosed exception: our website loads the Travelpayouts partner script (see "Affiliate links" below).
- No payment details — booking happens directly with the airline, hotel, or travel agency.
- No reading of your browsing. The extension only sees a page when you explicitly ask it to read one.
Where processing happens
Trip descriptions are parsed and alert emails are drafted using Anthropic's Claude API. Price data comes from travel data partners (such as Travelpayouts). Your watches are stored in our database (Cloudflare). Emails are delivered by our email provider.
Affiliate links
Some booking links in alerts are affiliate links. If you book through one, the travel brand pays us a commission. The price you pay is not affected, and alert decisions are based on your caps — never on commissions.
Our website (not the extension) loads the Travelpayouts Drive script, which attributes bookings to our partner account. Per Travelpayouts' documentation, it may transmit your IP address, access time, browser and device information, and cookies to Travelpayouts. If you'd rather not load it, a standard content blocker will block it without breaking the site.
Deleting your data
Deleting a watch in the extension removes it and its price history. To remove everything including your email address, use the contact listed on our Chrome Web Store page and we'll erase it promptly.
